Training Credits
$100/month to invest in your training
What Are Training Credits?
Every ISP student receives $100/month in Training Credits — that's $1,000/year to spend on training-related purchases.
| What | Details |
|---|---|
| Amount | $100/month |
| Duration | 10 months (August - May) |
| Annual value | $1,000/student |
| Cost to you | $0 — it's included in ISP |
This isn't a rebate or bonus. It's how ISP delivers the physical development component of our curriculum.
The Real Cost of Youth Sports
Let's be honest about what families actually spend:
| Sport Level | Annual Spend (Iowa) | Training Credits Cover |
|---|---|---|
| Recreational | $1,500 - $3,000 | 35-65% |
| Competitive Club | $5,000 - $10,000 | 10-20% |
| Elite/Travel | $10,000 - $25,000+ | 4-10% |
Reality check: If your family spends $7,000/year on club fees, travel, private coaching, and equipment, the $1,000 in Training Credits won't cover everything. But it's $1,000 you're not spending out of pocket — and it stacks on top of the $7,988 in free tuition.
What it offsets:
- Public school sports fees ($150-$300/sport)
- Private coaching sessions ($50-150/hour)
- Gym memberships and facility access ($100-200/month)
- Training equipment (one-time purchases)
Most private schools give you nothing for athletics. ISP gives you $1,000/year plus a schedule that actually supports training.

ISP Group Lessons
One of the best uses of Training Credits: ISP Group Lessons.
What Are They?
Small-group training sessions (4-6 ISP students) with professional coaches — during school hours, when everyone else is in class.
| Element | Details |
|---|---|
| Group size | 4-6 students (same skill level) |
| Frequency | Weekly, 1 hour |
| Time | Early afternoon (after academics, when facilities are empty) |
| Cost | $20-25/session |
| Instructor | Certified coaches, trained instructors |
Why It's Powerful
| Benefit | Details |
|---|---|
| Affordable | $25/week vs. $100-150/week for private lessons |
| Professional | Real coaches, not camp counselors |
| Social | Train with the same 4-6 kids every week — build community |
| Covered | Training Credits pay 100% |
| Prime time | Train at 10am when facilities are empty |
The Math
- 40 weeks × $25/session = $1,000/year
- That's year-round professional instruction, fully covered by Training Credits
